Call for Nominations to the Goalball Commission

May 1, 2007 - The Canadian Blind Sports Association is seeking nominations for the following positions on the Goalball Commission:

• Male Athlete’s Representative, who shall be a Goalball athlete, and who shall be elected in odd-numbered years by male Goalball athletes who are registered as such with a Member organization of CBSA. Goalball athletes eligible for nomination and/or to vote shall be legally blind.
• Female Athlete’s Representative, who shall be a Goalball athlete, and who shall be elected in odd-numbered years by female Goalball athletes who are registered as such with a Member organization of CBSA. Goalball athletes eligible for nomination and/or to vote shall be legally blind.
• Officials Representative, elected for a two-year term in odd-numbered years by persons registered as IBSA/CBSA officials and who are members in good standing of a Member organization of CBSA.

In order to be nominated, or to vote in the election, CBSA requires confirmation from the CBSA provincial member organization that the individuals nominated, or voting, meet the criteria as stated above.

One of the Athlete’s Representatives will be appointed by the Goalball Commission to the board of directors of CBSA.

Inquiries should be forwarded to the Executive Director, and/or to the chair of the nominating committee.
